Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in White County, Georgia. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection The role involves sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
