Metal caster — Kanabec County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a metal caster in Kanabec County, Minnesota. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day to day you will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts 3+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours.
