Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Wayne County, Michigan. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces The role involves: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec 4+ years on the tools preferred.
