Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness On the job you will handle: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position Rotating shifts.
