Shakeout operator wanted in Dutchess County

Now hiring: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Dutchess County, New York. You will work on the moulding line. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Your main tasks: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Full-time with occasional weekends.
