Foundry worker — Humboldt County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry worker in Humboldt County, Iowa. The job is at a busy iron foundry. The role involves: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings 4+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $3,900 per month plus benefits. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
