Argon arc welder — Georgetown County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Georgetown County, South Carolina. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Your main tasks: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish You should have: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
