Foundry labourer — Ottawa County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Ottawa County, Kansas. You will be based on the moulding line. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection On the job you will handle: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Part-time with flexible hours.
