Immediate opening: argon welding operator (Missouri)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Ralls County, Missouri. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Able to pass a weld test on the spot The role involves: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through Six days a week, one day off.
