Now hiring: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in McCracken County, Kentucky. You will work at a busy press shop. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes The role involves fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; record output and downtime on the production sheet; top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
