Argon welding operator wanted in Winkler County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Winkler County, Texas. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. On the job you will handle: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer What we are looking for: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Pay around $160 per day, based on your experience.
