Foundry labourer — Aitkin County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Aitkin County, Minnesota. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. The role involves: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
