Ironing operator — Jackson County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an ironing operator in Jackson County, Missouri. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. Requirements: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine On the job you will handle: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board Part-time with flexible hours. We offer $31 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
