Join our team: we are hiring a core maker in Finney County, Kansas. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. You will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift.
