Abattoir worker — Craig County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Craig County, Virginia. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. Day-to-day duties: • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Season and marinate meat on request • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone Requirements: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths 6+ years on the tools preferred. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
