Blocklayer — Rotherham

We are recruiting: we are hiring a blocklayer in Rotherham, England. The job is on a busy housing site. You will setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel. Requirements: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off.
