Argon welding operator — Nevada County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Nevada County, California. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. The role involves: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise Ideal candidate: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
