Foundry operative — Brevard County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry operative in Brevard County, Florida. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Part-time with flexible hours.
