Vacancy available: turning centre operator (Kansas)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Reno County, Kansas. You will be based in a tool room. You will set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; load and index turning tools in the turret; adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand. Ideal candidate: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection Rotating shifts. Pay around $3,500 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
