Blocklayer wanted in Braxton County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a blocklayer in Braxton County, West Virginia. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Day-to-day duties: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
