Immediate opening: we are hiring a core maker in Phillips County, Montana. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry You will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture.
