You should have: • Able to read wiring diagrams confidently • Steady hands for soldering fine connections • Knowledge of CAN-bus and modern ECU systems On a typical shift you will read and clear ECU fault codes; test batteries, alternators and starter motors with a multimeter; replace ABS, oxygen and crankshaft sensors; repair air-conditioning electrical controls; solder and heat-shrink wiring joints; repair headlights, indicators and brake-light circuits.
