Vacancy available: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in LaSalle County, Illinois. You will work at a garment factory. You should have: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets On a typical shift you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. Rotating shifts. We offer $4,300 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
