Join our team: we are hiring a concrete labourer in Jefferson County, Washington. The job is at a ready-mix concrete plant. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE Your main tasks: • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
