Shakeout operator — Madison County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Madison County, North Carolina. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. The role involves: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. We offer $5,500 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
