Vacancy available: we are hiring a butcher in Washington County, Maine. You will work at a wholesale meat market. On the job you will handle: • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone What we are looking for: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
