Core maker wanted in Maricopa County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in Maricopa County, Arizona. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. On a typical shift you will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
