Foundry worker • Morrow County, Ohio

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry worker in Morrow County, Ohio. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
