Aluminium tig welder — Johnson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Johnson County, Texas. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper You should have: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight 2+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
