Great opportunity: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Nacogdoches County, Texas. The job is at a residential building site. You will mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
