Lifting rigger wanted in Herkimer County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Herkimer County, New York. You will work at a busy construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position Requirements: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites Rotating shifts.
