Formwork carpenter wanted in Walker County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Walker County, Alabama. The job is at a precast concrete yard. What we are looking for: • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level Your main tasks: • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting • De-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
