Bricklayer • Cherokee County, Georgia

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a bricklayer in Cherokee County, Georgia. The role involves setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation. You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Part-time with flexible hours.
