Bench joiner — Washington County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bench joiner in Washington County, Vermont. You will be based at a shopfitting company. The role involves hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles; read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists; build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions; apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board; check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level; install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails. Requirements: • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
