Sewing machine operator • Jasper County, Iowa

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Jasper County, Iowa. You will be based on a ready-made garment production line. You should have: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus You will stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
