We are recruiting: panel welder (Michigan)

Join our team: we are hiring a panel welder in Genesee County, Michigan. The job is at an automobile body shop. Your main tasks: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch Requirements: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium 6+ years on the tools preferred. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
