Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. The role involves feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. Requirements: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Pay around $4,200 per month, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
