Landscape gardener — Lyon County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a landscape gardener in Lyon County, Kansas. The job is in a botanical garden. On a typical shift you will prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Valid driving licence for travel between sites At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
