Shakeout operator wanted in St. Lawrence County

Now hiring: we are hiring a shakeout operator in St. Lawrence County, New York. On a typical shift you will check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
