Turning centre operator • Lyon County, Iowa

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Lyon County, Iowa. You will work in a job-work machining unit. Requirements: • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm On the job you will handle: • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets Six days a week, one day off.
