Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Atchison County, Kansas. The job is on a busy housing site. You should have: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding On the job you will handle: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
