Foundry operative wanted in Hamilton County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Hamilton County, Ohio. Day to day you will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift.
