Sewing machine operator — Clinton County

Now hiring: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Clinton County, Iowa. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. You should have: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines On the job you will handle: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
