Blocklayer wanted in DeKalb County

Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in DeKalb County, Indiana. Day-to-day duties: • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) 5+ years on the tools preferred.
