Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in Gosper County, Nebraska. On a typical shift you will check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
