Trainee butcher • Adams County, Indiana

Now hiring: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Adams County, Indiana. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. What we are looking for: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry Your main tasks: • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Pay around $180 per day, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
