Structural MIG welder — Clay County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Clay County, Iowa. Day to day you will tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols. You should have: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
