Argon welder — Berrien County

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Berrien County, Michigan. What we are looking for: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Able to pass a weld test on the spot On a typical shift you will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $21 per hour, based on your experience. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
