Immediate opening: we are hiring a crawler crane operator in Montgomery County, Illinois. You will work on a bridge and infrastructure project. You should have: • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination The role involves carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around $4,900 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts.
