Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry worker in Morton County, Kansas. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. Day-to-day duties: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
